MMS Forum With the rapid dissemination of digital technologies in health, the work of Swiss organisations active in the field of international health cooperation is changing. Some of the 47 Medicus Mundi Switzerland member organisations have adopted digital technologies across the board, others are using selected digital components in specific health programmes with varied degrees of involvement, and still others have not yet engaged with digital health.
Medicus Mundi Switzerland is dedicating 2020 to the topic of health in a digital age. MMS develops the Swiss Framework on Digital Health in International Health Cooperation. To this end, MMS is mapping its members’ use of digital technologies in health and convening forums to present information about digital health technologies and their consequences. It is also organising the MMS 2020 Symposium around this topic.
The results of this mapping exercise will be shared at a Digital Health Forum and Members of the MMS Network will present their tools and experiences of using digital technologies in health. Participants have the possibility to get in close contact with the presenters to get first hand insights into the world of different tools and approaches to digitalisation.
The aim of the forum is to increase collaboration among members and foster exchange and learning opportunities, as well as promoting the responsible use of these technologies to avoid the fragmentation of health systems.
Our annual MMS Symposium on 4 November 2020 will also be dedicated to the topic of Digital Health.
