We are convinced that it is possible to achieve health for all within a generation – we have the knowledge and the means.
Together with our members we are committed to creating strong health systems worldwide and to enabling everyone to access good quality healthcare – nobody should be left behind.
Our MembersHealth is a fundamental human right. But across the world, people are being denied this right and they have no access to good quality healthcare.
In accordance with the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, we advocate for a political and economic practice which puts human rights first, fights discrimination and stigmatisation, protects people’s health and secures the financial resources worldwide that are necessary for sustainable development.
We are committed to a solidarity-based Switzerland. To achieve this, we are pursuing a dialogue with the relevant stakeholders in international health cooperation and with the political decision-makers in Switzerland.
AdvocacyHealth is not just a medical problem: it is, above all, a social problem. Inequality and inequity are major causes of illness. In our work, we are approaching this issue in a variety of ways.
Health and justice are influenced by various trends: globalisation, demographic development, migration, wars, climate change. We are taking an intersectional approach to these trends in accordance with the 2030 Agenda and are focusing on the relevant topics:
