Swiss Health NGOs for Implementation Research

Initiative

To strengthen implementation research within NGO programmes, there is a need for building up research skills and capacities within the organisations and for training programmes for NGO staff both at Headquarter and field level. Moreover, it is a challenge for many NGOs to find the necessary financial means. Implementation research should be stronger supported by donors. The organisers would like to launch the idea of an exchange platform for implementation health research.

Program 10:30 - 12:00 h, followed by sandwiches and drinks

With a key note of John Reeder (Director, Special Programme for Research & Training in Tropical Diseases, World Health Organization, Geneva) and inputs of Jochen Ehmer (SolidarMed), Nicole Moran (Consultant), Ingrid Mason (FAIRMED), Thomas Schwarz (Medicus Mundi International), Susanna Hausmann (Agency for Swiss Development Cooperation), Kaspar Wyss (Swiss TPH) and Thomas Gass (Swiss Red Cross).
